Biography

Kyle, the youngest of three sons, was born into a family with a father who worked as a salesman for Beechnut, a well-known company. Growing up, Kyle was an avid basketball player in school, and his passion for the sport was matched only by his aspirations to pursue a career in the Air Force. However, his dreams were ultimately dashed due to extreme near-sightedness, a condition that rendered him unable to fulfill his ambitions.

Despite this setback, Kyle's life took a dramatic turn when he attended a performance of the iconic musical "Hello Dolly." The show's impact on him was profound, and he became instantly enamored with the idea of becoming an actor. This newfound passion led him to make the bold decision to relocate to Hollywood in 1981, where he would embark on a journey to seek his big break.

It wasn't until 1986 that Kyle's perseverance finally paid off, when he landed a three-month stint as a former mental patient on the popular soap opera "Santa Barbara," which premiered in 1984. This initial success was followed by a recurring role as an AIDS patient on the critically acclaimed medical drama "St. Elsewhere," which first aired in 1982.
