Kyle Edward Couch, a visionary filmmaker, was born in Monroe, Michigan, where his passion for storytelling began to take shape at a tender age. With a clear vision in mind, he pursued his dreams by enrolling in film studies at Oakland Community College. At 26, he co-wrote and directed the critically acclaimed short film One Last Run (2015),which earned him widespread recognition in the industry. Building on his success, Couch directed another award-winning short film, The Eulogy (2015),showcasing his versatility and range as a filmmaker.
The next chapter in his journey saw Couch turn his attention to documentary filmmaking, helming Thirteen One (2018),a poignant and thought-provoking exploration of the struggles faced by individuals recovering from heroin addiction while training for a half-marathon. His dedication to the project was rewarded with the prestigious Award of Excellence at the Metro Film and TV Awards.
Couch's feature-length film debut, The Tent (2020),marked a significant milestone in his career, showcasing his ability to craft compelling narratives on a larger scale. With his wife and daughter by his side, Couch currently resides in Michigan, where he continues to nurture his creative spirit and push the boundaries of storytelling.
