Kurush Deboo, a multifaceted individual, was born on September 12th, 1963, in the vibrant city of Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay, in the state of Maharashtra, India. He spent his childhood in Navsari, Gujarat State, where he completed his Commerce graduation in 1984.
Deboo's thirst for knowledge and creative expression led him to migrate to Mumbai for post-graduation in Advertising and Marketing. He earned his Diploma in Advertising & Marketing from Xavier's Institute of Communications, Mumbai in 1986, and his Diploma in Marketing Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, University of Mumbai in 1987.
In 1988, Deboo pursued his passion for acting by completing his diploma in acting from Roshan Taneja's Actors Studio. This marked the beginning of his illustrious career in the Indian film industry.
Deboo's impressive debut in the film "Percy", produced by NFDC, earned him critical acclaim and a nomination for the Best Actor in National Awards in 1990. His outstanding performance as Tehmul in the Canadian film "Such A Long Journey" garnered international recognition and a nomination for the Best Supporting Actor in Canadian Genie Award in 1999.
Throughout his career, Deboo has acted in numerous successful Hindi films, including "Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa", "Page 3", "Taxi No.9211", "Apne", "Jhankar Beats", "Kasoor", "Bhoothnath Returns", "My Friend Ganesha 2", and "Lage Raho Munnabhai", to name a few. His iconic role as Dr. Rustom Pavri in "Munnabhai MBBS" catapulted him to stardom, showcasing his incredible range as an actor.
Deboo has also made a significant impact in the television industry, appearing in popular TV series such as "Ek Nayi Ummeed - Roshni", "Jeannie Aur Juju", "Adalat", "Zindagi Khatti Meethi", "Ishq Kills", "Maniben.com", "Äshiq Biwi Ka", "Four", "Shaka Laka Boom Boom", "Banegi Apni Baat", "Bible Ki Kahaniyaan", "Chanakya", and "Bombay Blue".
