Between the years of 1978 and 1981, Dokov pursued his passion for the performing arts by studying at the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he honed his acting skills under the guidance of renowned professor Nikolay Lyutzkanov and his assistant Margarita Mladenova, specializing in drama theater.
Following his academic endeavors, Dokov commenced his professional acting career at the Drama Theater in Dimitrovgrad, Bulgaria, where he remained from 1981 to 1984. He then transferred to the Drama Theater in Haskovo, Bulgaria, staying from 1985 to 1989, before joining the Theater "Sfumato" in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he performed from 1989 to 1992.
Since 2003, Dokov has been an integral part of the National Theater 'Ivan Vazov' in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he has brought numerous characters to life on stage and has appeared in a multitude of film productions. Throughout his illustrious career, Dokov has had the privilege of playing over 50 diverse characters and has received critical acclaim for his performances.
Some of his notable awards include the Best Leading Actor prize at the Theater Festival in Bulgaria in 1988 and the Best Leading Actor award at the Theater Festival in Bulgaria in 1989. Additionally, Dokov is a proud member of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers, solidifying his status as a respected figure in the Bulgarian film and theater industry.
