Konstantin Fam, better known by his stage name Costa Fam, is a multifaceted creative force, excelling as a screenwriter, director, and producer. His most notable achievement is the "Witnesses" trilogy, a poignant tribute to the victims of the Holocaust. This thought-provoking compilation consists of three novels: "Shoes" (2012),"Brutus" (2016),and "Violin" (2017),which are united by common characters and a unifying theme.
The short film "Shoes" received widespread acclaim, garnering numerous awards at international festivals and even earning a nomination for the Academy Awards in 2013.
Konstantin Fam was born on July 13th, 1977, in the small Ukrainian town of Pervomaiskii, former USSR, to a Vietnamese father and a Jewish mother. His father, a political refugee, was a family member of heroes of the Vietnamese resistance, who spent his childhood years fighting in partisan troops. Tragically, Konstantin's mother lost her family during the Holocaust, leaving a lasting impact on his creative vision.
Konstantin's educational background is equally impressive, with a degree in Theatre and Film Arts from the Dnepropetrovsk college of Theatrical Arts, VGIK, and NYFA. Over the course of 20 years, he worked extensively in the theatre and television industries in Georgia, Ukraine, and Russia, honing his skills as an actor, screenwriter, director, and producer.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Konstantin also develops his own projects and co-owns a company that produces educational content for parents alongside his wife.
