Biography

Kirstie, a talented and accomplished screenwriter, hails from Glasgow, Scotland, where she proudly resides. Her impressive credentials have earned her a BAFTA nomination, a testament to her exceptional skill in the craft. Currently, she is busy show-running the greenlit drama series "Sweet Pea" (See-Saw/Sky),an adaptation of C J Skuse's popular novel, with production set to commence later this year.

In addition to her work on "Sweet Pea", Kirstie's original series "Ladybaby" (Kudos) received a pilot commission from the BBC and went into production this summer. Her previous project, "Pure" (Channel 4, produced by Drama Republic),consisted of six episodes, which aired in the UK in January 2019 and was later released on HBO Max in the US in August of this year.

The critically acclaimed "Pure" earned Kirstie two Scottish BAFTA nominations, including Best Drama Series and Best Writer, in 2019. Her versatility as a writer is further showcased by her work as a Consulting Producer and writer on Vicky Jones's "Run" (Sky/HBO),starring Domhnall Gleeson and Merritt Wever.

Kirstie's achievements also include winning the 2013 Frank Deasy Award for new writing, as well as being selected for the Bush/Kudos Initiative and Broadcast Magazine's Hotshots in the same year. Her impressive educational background includes graduating from the 2012 BBC Writers Academy, where she wrote episodes for three continuing drama series.
