Kiran Rathod is a multifaceted Indian film actress who has captivated audiences with her versatility in acting, music, and language, effortlessly transitioning between Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada films.
Born on January 11th, 1981, in Jaipur, India, Rathod hails from a respectable Rajput family of Rajasthan. Her parents, Mohan Singh Rathod and Anita Rathod, have been instrumental in shaping her early life. Interestingly, she is the cousin of Bollywood villain Amjad Khan and Raveena Tandon.
Rathod's educational background includes attending Mithibai College in Mumbai, India. During her teenage years, she made significant contributions to various Hindi pop music recordings, showcasing her talent beyond acting.
Kiran Rathod made her cinematic debut as Monishka Rai in the Hindi movie Yaadein in 2001, although the film did not achieve significant commercial success. However, her breakthrough came in 2002 with the Tamil movie Gemini opposite Vikram, which received widespread acclaim.
The success of Gemini was followed by her appearance in the movie Villain alongside Ajith Kumar and Meena, which also performed well at the box office. Additionally, she made her debut in the Malayalam film industry with Thandavam in the same year.
In 2002, Rathod continued to excel in the Tamil film industry, starring in successful movies such as Diwan, Arasu, Winner, Thennavan, and New. She also ventured into Telugu cinema, appearing in the films Naani and Andaru Dongale Dorikithe in 2004.
