Biography

Kip Pardue has been recognized by critics as one of the most important actors in the theater, with a career spanning film, television, and stage. He has starred in numerous productions, including "Catskill Sonata", "Harry And Arthur", "Moonlight And Magnolias", "Gretty Goodtime", "2Across", "What The Night Is For", and "Stuff Happens", for which he received an Ovation Nomination. His one-man shows, "Mister Moody... 82 minutes with Christ" and "Men Women And Assassins", have also received critical acclaim and have been recorded as musicals.

After graduating college, Kip moved to Chicago and quickly landed his first professional break, co-starring in "Irma La Douce". He then settled in New York, where he was cast in an improv review called "Weigh-In Weigh-Out" and was soon discovered by several William Morris agents. His busy career began in earnest, with numerous theater projects, including the premier of Mark Medoff's "The Wager", "Barefoot In The Park", and the Public Theater's production of "Lotta".

Kip's career in television began with the hit musical "Purlie" with Robert Guillaume, which brought him to Los Angeles. He soon became recognizable in the prime-time TV world, starring as a regular on "Loves Me, Loves Me Not", "Trapper John, M.D.", "Foot in the Door", "Dorothy", "Closeup News", "Studio 5-B", "Nurses", and recurring on "Doctor Doctor" and "Relativity".

Born to a traveling salesman father, Kip has lived in several cities, including Boston, Rochester, Cleveland, Chicago, and now bi-coastalizes between New York City and the Santa Monica Mountains. His dramatic, comedic, and musical performances in television, film, and stage are a testament to his incredible versatility and what makes him one of the most fascinating and talented actors in the business.
