Kinnik is a seasoned performer with a diverse range of experience in the stage, film, and television industries. Her impressive resume includes a top 13 finish as a finalist on the popular television show American Idol, as well as winning the Dreamgirls competition sponsored by the Ahmanson theatre and Blackweekly.com, which led to her being flown to Italy to perform.
Over the past 15 years, Kinnik has appeared in over 30 stage plays, with notable credits including Dream Girls, For Colored Girls, and Madea's Class Reunion. Her talent has not gone unnoticed, as she has been cast by award-winning directors and producers such as Tyler Perry, Robert Townsend, and Kenny Leon in projects that showcase her impressive vocal range and acting ability.
Kinnik's film and television credits include a wide range of projects, including Trois 3: The Escort, American Idol, Playhouse 22, House of Payne, Hard Rock Cafe Presents, and Musical Theatre of Hope. In addition to her work in front of the camera, Kinnik has also extended her reach into the digital realm, serving as the executive producer and host of a refreshing new web-series that features celebrity and entertainment news.
One of Kinnik's most notable accomplishments to date is writing, producing, and starring in the play "Sunday Mourning," which has received a total of seven NAACP Theatre Award nominations, including two personal nominations for Kinnik Sky as Best Female Lead and Best Playwright.
