Biography

Kimiko Elizabeth Glenn was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, where she grew up alongside her sister Amanda and parents Mark and Sumiko. At the tender age of ten, she began her journey in theater at the Valley Youth Theatre, which sparked her passion for performing.

As a college student at the Boston Conservatory, Kimiko's life took an unexpected turn when she was cast in the 1st National Tour of Spring Awakening. After two years of touring, she finally settled down in New York City.

Since then, Kimiko has had the privilege of taking on various roles, including the title role in La Jolla Playhouse's "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots," directed by Des McAnuff, and the bratty Princess Ssu-Ming in the Playhouse's production of "The Nightingale," directed by Moisés Kaufman. She has also had the honor of performing at the Delacorte Theater for Shakespeare in the Park, in The Public's "Love's Labour's Lost," directed by Alex Timbers.

Kimiko has also originated roles in several productions, including the Off-Broadway production of Julianne Moore's Freckleface Strawberry, and has been a part of many exciting projects. Some of her favorites include "Behind the Painting" written by Maltby & Shire; "Plop" written by Bare's Damon Intrabartolo; "Yeast Nation" from the creators of Urinetown at the NY Fringe festival '11; "Crossing Over" as part of the National Asian Artists' Project; and the staged reading of "Cheer Wars" - her very first New York job.

In addition to her stage work, Kimiko has appeared in several feature films, including "Construction" (2021),"Nous York" (2012),and "Hair Brained" (2013) starring Brendan Fraser & Parker Posey. She has also appeared in the movie-musical short "Galaxy Comics" by director Kevin McMullin.

Kimiko has also been featured in several television shows and pilots, including the 2011 Disney/ABC Diversity Showcase directed by Ted Sluberski and Joe Ward. She was thrilled to shoot NBCUniversal's half-hour comedy pilot "Holding Patterns" and will be joining the cast of Orange Is the New Black (2013),a Netflix series, as Brook Soso.
