Kim Manning's journey in Spain began with her appearances in various shows, eventually leading to her election as secretary in the renowned program "Un dos tres respondaotra vez" in 1972. She was part of the initial team of secretaries who not only handled administrative tasks but also sang and danced, showcasing her talents from the very first program, "El debut de secretarias," in the third season of the show.
With her charm and talent, Kim quickly became the most popular secretary of the team, despite not being the accountant secretary at the time. When the season concluded, almost all the secretaries left the show, except Gloria Fernandez and Kim, who welcomed the new secretaries in the fourth season with open arms.
Although Kim was not the accountant secretary initially due to her foreign accent, her popularity continued to grow among the Spanish audience through her consistent appearances in the show. In the fifth season, she was again part of the team, with the same accountant hostess as in the previous season.
Kim's role evolved, and she took on various responsibilities, including introducing contestants, receiving the host, Mayra, carrying questions for contestants, carrying money in the second part of the show, and singing and dancing in the third part. She was almost destined to become the accountant host, but it wasn't meant to be in the fifth season.
However, in the third season, Silvia Marsó returned and reclaimed her role as accountant, leaving Kim with a remarkable record: she was the secretary who had stayed in the program for the highest number of chapters. When Silvia Marsó left the show shortly after September, Kim finally received her reward for her years of dedication: she became the accountant secretary.
It took some time for Kim to adjust to her new role due to her English accent, but she did so with joy and happiness, having earned the leader role of the team of secretaries after four years of hard work.
Kim's time on "Un dos tres" came to an end in January 1988 when the season concluded. She returned for a special appearance in the 20th anniversary special in 1992, marking her final appearance in the program. After that, she went on to pursue other projects, achieving her highest success in "Manos a la obra."
Unfortunately, Kim's subsequent endeavors did not yield the same level of success, and her last appearance was in "London Street," a series that was not well-received. Today, Kim is the owner of a restaurant, and even after 16 years, when someone mentions the term "Un dos tres secretary," Kim Manning is often the first name that comes to mind.
