Biography

Kim Kwang-kyu, a renowned South Korean actor, embarked on his acting journey in 1999 with a role in the film Dr. K. His impressive performance did not go unnoticed, as he soon found himself cast in a pivotal, albeit physically abusive, teacher role in the 2001 box-office hit Friend, a project helmed by fellow Busan native Kwak Kyung-taek.

Kim's acting career continued to flourish, with supporting roles in various television and film productions. Some of his notable works include "The Secret of Coocoo Island" (2008),"Scent of a Woman" (2011),and "I Can Hear Your Voice" (2013).

In addition to his acting pursuits, Kim has also made a name for himself in the reality television genre. He has been a part of several popular shows, including I Live Alone, which he has been a part of since 2013, and Three Meals a Day, which he joined in 2015.

Throughout his illustrious career, Kim Kwang-kyu has received numerous accolades, including the Popularity Award in a Sitcom at the MBC Entertainment Awards in 2008 and the Excellence Award in a Variety Show on MBC Entertainment Awards in 2013.
