Chiu's acting career began with a notable role in the television series Sana Maulit Muli in 2007, earning her the Most Promising Female Star award at the prestigious GMMSF.
Following this breakthrough, she went on to star in a string of successful projects, taking on leading roles in various dramas. These include the Philippine adaptation of My Girl in 2008, the action-melodrama Tayong Dalawa in 2009, the action-melodrama Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo in 2010, the romantic comedy My Binondo Girl from 2011 to 2012, the family drama Ina, Kapatid, Anak from 2012 to 2013, and the period drama Ikaw Lamang in 2014.
In addition to her television work, Chiu has also appeared in several films, including the highly successful Bride for Rent in 2014, which grossed P326 million at the box office, making it the sixth highest-grossing Filipino film of all time. Her other notable films include I Love You, Goodbye in 2009 and Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo? in 2013.
Throughout her career, Chiu has received numerous awards and nominations, including a PMPC Award for Best Drama Actress and four FAMAS Award nominations, with one win. She was also hailed as the Princess of Philippine Movies and TV for her outstanding accomplishments in the film and television industry.
