Kieran's fascination with films began at the tender age of six, when he first laid eyes on the silver screen. This early introduction to the world of cinema would have a profound impact on his life, shaping his future aspirations and influencing his creative pursuits.
As he grew older, Kieran's love for films only intensified, and his father, who was a significant influence in his life, would often take him to watch classic movies in Birmingham. The two would spend hours discussing the plots, characters, and themes of films such as "People under the stairs" and "The Twilight Zone: The Movie".
When Kieran's family relocated to Milton Keynes, he was introduced to a new world of cinematic delights, including the horror classics "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and "The Shining". These films further fueled his passion for filmmaking, and he began to dream of one day creating his own movies.
In 2007, Kieran made the bold decision to quit his job and dedicate himself to writing a feature-length screenplay. He met director Jason Impey through a mutual friend and began working on his first film. However, due to creative differences and conflicts, the project ultimately fell apart, and Kieran was left feeling disillusioned and defeated.
It wasn't until 2011, when Kieran's father was diagnosed with asbestos cancer, that he received the motivation he needed to pursue his dreams once again. His father's words of encouragement, "Never give up, don't let anyone pull you down or hold you back. You are a talented person and you will do well in life," resonated deeply with Kieran, and he was determined to make his father proud.
Tragically, Kieran's father passed away in April of that year, but his legacy lived on through Kieran's determination to succeed. In 2015, Jason Impey reached out to Kieran to collaborate on one of his films, and this marked the beginning of Kieran's journey as a filmmaker.
Kieran's subsequent short films, "Nightman" and "Nightman 2", were a testament to his growth as a creative individual, and he continued to produce more short films, always dedicating them to his father, who had been a constant source of inspiration in his life.
Through his films, Kieran aimed to honor his father's memory and to express his gratitude for the unwavering support he had received from Jason Impey, who had given him the push he needed to pursue his dreams.
