Kevin Hagen, the son of renowned professional ballroom dancers Haakon Olaf Hagen and Marvel Lucile Wadsworth, was born into a family with a rich cultural heritage. However, his early life was marked by adversity when his father abandoned the family when Kevin was just five years old. Left to navigate the challenges of growing up without a father figure, Kevin was raised by his resilient mother, grandmother, and two aunts, with occasional support from his uncle, a dedicated physician.
As Kevin entered his teenage years, his family relocated to Portland, Oregon, where he continued his education and pursued his passions for baseball and football at Jefferson High School. His academic achievements earned him a spot at Oregon State University, where he spent some time before making the courageous decision to enlist in the U.S. Navy after World War II. Kevin's time in the Navy was spent in San Diego, where he honed his skills and gained valuable life experience.
Despite facing personal and professional challenges, Kevin went on to build a life filled with love and dedication. He married four times, and for two decades, he bravely raised his son, Christopher Hagen, as a single parent. Today, Christopher is a successful Special Education teacher and high school baseball coach in Bakersfield, California, a testament to Kevin's unwavering commitment to his family.
