Kevin D. Benton is an American professional actor born in Pennsylvania, USA. He is a multi-award-winning actor, having received the "Best Film Actor/TV Actor" award at the SPIRAL Film & Music Awards Show and the New York City & State TV, Plays & Film Festival. Kevin holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, which he uses to create authentic and believable characters.
Kevin's passion for acting started early, as he appeared in student stage plays in grade school. After retiring from professional basketball, he rekindled his passion for acting while spending summers with his family in Florida. He was frequently cast as a featured extra in various theme park attractions, including Disney's Hollywood Studios and Universal Studios Florida.
Kevin's first notable role was as the Casino Security Guard in the multi-award-winning short film "Misfits" (2015). His first paid acting role was as a ring-side fight fan in the MGM feature film "CREED" (2015),starring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone.
This experience reignited Kevin's passion for acting, and he enrolled in acting classes with decorated actor John Kenneth McGregor at the Walking Fish Theater in Philadelphia, PA. He has also studied under the tutelage of Nakia Dillard at the Aikan Acts Acting Academy and Melvin Williams at Theater For A New Generation in New York City.
Kevin has played a range of roles, including the Sea Captain in "The Backlot Tour" at Disney's Hollywood Studios, a ring-side fight fan in "CREED," and a featured extra in various theme park attractions. He has also appeared in TV shows such as "Power Book II: Ghost," "FBI," "Godfather of Harlem," and "Wu-Tang: An American Saga."
In addition to his acting work, Kevin has won several awards, including the "Best Male Radio Show Host" at the 2018 SPIRAL Film & Music Awards and the "Mayan Industry Awards - Black Excellence - Media" for his work as the Radio Show Host/Radio Personality on "The Kevin & Nikee Show" on iHEART Radio.
Kevin continues to focus on his craft, taking classes to hone his skills and pursue opportunities in film, TV, and commercials. He is committed to using his gifts and talents to serve and help others, especially children.
