Biography

Kevin Conroy was born on November 30, 1955, in the charming town of Westbury, New York. At the tender age of 17, he was awarded a full scholarship to attend the prestigious Juilliard School's drama division, where he had the privilege of studying under the guidance of the renowned actor John Houseman.

Following his graduation from Juilliard in 1978, Kevin embarked on a nationwide tour with "The Acting Company", Houseman's esteemed acting group, and later joined the national tour of the popular play "Deathtrap" in 1979.

In 1980, he made his debut in the daytime soap opera "Another World", but soon found himself missing the thrill of the theatre and therefore became closely associated with the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, California. There, he had the opportunity to perform in notable productions such as "Hamlet" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

From 1980 to 1985, Kevin appeared in a wide range of contemporary and classic theatre pieces, including the Broadway production of "Eastern Standard" and "Lolita". He is highly respected within theatre circles for his exceptional interpretation of Shakespearean characters, and in 1984, he had the honor of playing the title role in "Hamlet" at the New York Shakespeare Festival.

Kevin returned to television in 1985 with the television movie "Covenant", and later became a series regular on the shows "Ohara" in 1987 and "Tour of Duty" from 1987 to 1988. He then went on to star in a string of television movies, solidifying his reputation as a talented and versatile actor.

However, it was his iconic portrayal of the Caped Crusader in the animated series "Batman: The Animated Series" (1992) that truly cemented his place in the hearts of audiences worldwide.
