Biography

Kevan Ohtsji, a 3rd Generation Japanese-Canadian actor, was born and raised in a suburb of Vancouver. His passion for performing began in an eighth grade drama class, where his talent emerged as an adolescent.

Known for his diversity, Ohtsji idolizes film greats such as Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino, who demonstrated dedication to their craft and integrity to their characters. He pursued his passion for acting in college, studying with numerous teachers and coaches to hone his skills.

Ohtsji's breakthrough role was in Cristophe Gans's Crying Freeman, followed by appearances on Smallville, Stargate, Need for Speed, and Race to Mars. He has also worked alongside notable actors such as Morgan Freeman, Jeff Daniels, Lothaire Bluteau, and Joshua Jackson.

As a professional, Ohtsji is committed to crossing stereotypical boundaries and has supported independent film and arts organizations. He has served on the executive boards of the Vancouver Asian Film Festival and the Powell Street Festival, and has been written up in numerous magazines and trade journals.
