Person Biography:
Born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, Kertrice has had a unique and globally-oriented upbringing. She spent her early years in Germany, where she began her acting career at the age of 4 while attending the International School of Hamburg (ISH). At the age of 7, she auditioned for Disney's Broadway musical production 'Der Köning der Löwen (The Lion King)', but was too young for the role. However, she was called back the following year to train under the children's Löwen-schule (lion school) and eventually became the first South African to play the role of young Nala on the Broadway stage at the Hamburger Hafen on December 10th, 2003.
Kertrice returned to South Africa in late 2004 and settled in Cape Town. She quickly booked her next project, starring as Tarsai in the German film 'Mein Traum Von Afrika' in 2005. The following year, at the age of 12, she landed her first feature film role as Charita in 'The Seven of Daran, Battle of Pareo Rock', catapulting her to the premieres of the big screen.
Throughout her education years, Kertrice continued to attend auditions and book gigs, eventually graduating from the ACT Cape Town - Film Acting Academy in 2015. Besides acting, she has a passion for cooking, singing, dancing, reading, relaxing at home, and experiencing new things whenever possible. Her ability to maintain her inner child is one of her greatest strengths, making her a dynamic and creative individual. With a bright future ahead, Kertrice is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with.
