Ken Fero is a multifaceted individual, excelling as a filmmaker, activist, educator, and founding member of Migrant Media, a production company established in 1991. Over the years, Migrant Media has produced a range of influential documentaries that delve into community responses to pressing issues of race, class, and resistance.

One of Fero's most notable works is the groundbreaking and multi-award-winning documentary, Injustice, released in 2001. This feature-length film sheds light on the killings of predominantly Black people in the UK, sparking significant international and political repercussions. The documentary was screened in the European Parliament, where Fero also delivered a speech, and has since been banned by all UK broadcasters.

Fast forward to 2020, Fero's recent film, Ultraviolence, uncovers the history of militant resistance to UK state violence. This powerful documentary has garnered widespread recognition, being officially selected for the prestigious BFI London Film Festival. Additionally, Ultraviolence has won several accolades, including a Special Jury Award at the Queens World Film Festival in 2021, a Special Audience Award at the Arbetar Film Festival in 2021, and Best Documentary at the British Urban Film Festival in 2021.
