Ken Duncan was born in Rock Island, Illinois, and his family subsequently relocated to Carpinteria, California. During his high school years, he excelled in various sports, earning varsity letters in football, basketball, and track and field, ultimately graduating in 1964.
Following his graduation, Duncan was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1967 and served a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam. After his military service, he returned to the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma in the spring of 1969, where he played two seasons of football and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communications.
Duncan's impressive football career continued as he was selected a Sporting News All-American as a punter in 1970, and was chosen as team co-captain, setting a school record with a punt of 87 yards that same year.
In 1971, Duncan was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings and later played for the Green Bay Packers from 1971 to 1972, until a knee injury forced his retirement from professional football.
Following his athletic career, Duncan transitioned into the realm of public relations, serving as a liaison for Strategy and Tactics, working alongside notable figures such as Ronald Reagan, Zig Ziglar, and Paul Harvey.
At the age of 40, Duncan embarked on an acting career, and is also a co-founder of Theater Sports in the city of Ventura.
Duncan is a devoted father to two daughters and a son.
In recognition of his athletic achievements, Duncan has been inducted into three hall of fames in the state of California.
