Kelly de Almeida Afonso Freitas, professionally known as Kelly Key, is a multifaceted Brazilian personality born on March 3, 1983, in Rio de Janeiro. With a career spanning across various fields, she is a renowned presenter, actress, singer, songwriter, and businesswoman.
Kelly's foray into the entertainment industry began with her debut as an art director for her own shows in 2004. Although she graduated from the performing arts course at Teatro O Tablado as a teenager, she never pursued a career in acting. Instead, she pursued a degree in administration from Centro Universitário Augusto Motta (UNISUAM),which she completed in 2010.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Kelly has also been involved in various philanthropic endeavors. Notably, she participated in the Federal Government's campaign to promote condom use in 2002 and has been a godmother to Friends of Childhood with Cancer (AMICCA) since 2003.
Kelly has been married to Mico Freitas, a former Angolan footballer and businessman, since 2004. Mico is the heir to the COSAL Group, a family fortune valued at 500 million euros. The couple has three children together: Suzanna, Jaime Vitor, and Artur, born in 2000, 2005, and 2017, respectively.
