Keith Miller is a multifaceted creative professional, boasting a diverse range of skills as a director, writer, editor, and producer. He has garnered significant recognition, being awarded a prestigious 2015 Guggenheim Fellowship.
His feature film, Five Star, made its world premiere at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival, where it won the coveted Best Editing for a Narrative Feature award, as well as several other accolades. The film went on to have its international premiere at the esteemed Venice Biennale, and subsequently played at numerous prominent festivals worldwide, including Thessaloniki, Cairo, and Rio de Janeiro, among many others.
Miller has received significant support for his work, having been awarded a 2014 Jerome Film and Video grant and a Rooftop Films Production grant. His inaugural feature film, Welcome to Pine Hill, garnered widespread critical acclaim, taking home the Grand Jury Prize at both the Slamdance Film Festival (2012) and the Atlanta Film Festival, as well as the FIPRESCI Grand Jury Prize for New American Cinema at the Seattle International Film Festival, and several other notable awards.
As a producer, Miller is involved in the creation of F. Lily Henderson's feature documentary essay film, This Much We Know, which has received grants from both Cinereach and The Jerome Foundation. The film premiered at the 2022 Camden Film Festival and is slated to play at DOCNYC.
Additionally, Miller co-created and directed the comedy web series Brooklynification, a 2016-2018 production commissioned by BRIC TV, which explores the theme of gentrification in Brooklyn.
