Keehnan Anderson, an American actor and writer, was born in Denver, Colorado, to a public school teacher and a whiskey distiller. His childhood was marked by frequent moves, with him living in over 11 households before his 10th birthday, giving him a unique perspective on life.
Anderson's early interest in film was sparked by a childhood spent in the backseat of a car, where he would watch movies on a small portable DVD player, igniting a lifelong passion for the medium. His childhood was divided between his father's horse ranch in the country and his mother's home in the inner city, allowing him to appreciate different aspects of life.
As a child, Anderson also developed a passion for boxing, often training at his cousin's MMA gym in his free time. However, his teenage years were marked by turmoil, with him being kicked out of school at 16 and spending time in Juvenile Hall. Despite these challenges, Anderson found solace in his dream of becoming an actor and, at 16, he packed up his belongings and headed west to Los Angeles.
In Los Angeles, Anderson studied with renowned acting coaches and landed roles in several award-winning indie films.
