K.D. O'Hair was born in Lubbock, Texas, to Brenda and Marc O'Hair, parents who were unwaveringly supportive of their children's aspirations, with her brother Sean pursuing his passion for golf and K.D. dedicating herself to the stage.
From a tender age of five, K.D. has been actively involved in acting and singing, primarily in plays and musicals. As a result of her family's frequent relocations, she spent four formative years at the Harrison School for the Arts in Lakeland, Florida.
Her academic journey continued at the Chicago College of Performing Arts of Roosevelt University, where she remained until mid-sophomore year, when she made the bold decision to drop out and enroll in the Aveda Institute for Cosmetology.
As of 2020, K.D. resides in Atlanta, Georgia, a city she has called home since 2018. With a professional license in cosmetology, she continues to nurture her acting career, dividing her time between theatre and film/television. Her notable roles include Judie the punk in season one of AMC's Halt & Catch Fire, StingRay's girlfriend Fawn in Cobra Kai, and Nikki Culler in NBC's Chicago P.D.
