Kristina Cassandra Concepcion, also known as K.C. to the entire Philippines, is the only daughter of actors Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta, making her a showbiz royalty and often referred to as the nation's "princess". Born to a real-life reel couple who were admired by millions of fans across the country, her parents' on-screen chemistry later blossomed into a fairy tale wedding in 1985, which resulted in her birth.
Although her parents' union did not last long, eventually ending in separation just four years later, Sharon Cuneta continued her acting career and became the highest paid actress and commercial endorser in the country, while Gabby Concepcion opted to permanently reside in California in 1995.
Throughout her young life, K.C. has been loved by the media and many of her parents' fans, making occasional uncredited appearances during her mother's concerts and television shows. However, it was not until early 2003 that she explored the world of advertising, becoming the spokesperson for major products in the country and one of the most sought-after commercial endorsers in both television and print ads.
On her 18th birthday in 2003, ABS-CBN Network televised a TV special celebrating her grand entrance to society, which became the highest-rated TV special that season. People were anticipating her grand entrance to the world, but instead of accepting multiple movie and television deals, K.C. flew to France in 2003 to start her college life, taking up International Corporate Communications with a minor in Theatre Arts at the prestigious American University of Paris.
Four years later, in 2007, K.C. was joined by her mother, Sharon, her stepfather, politician Francisco Pangilinan, and younger sisters, Frankie and Miel, as she marched for her college graduation. Instead of pursuing her studies in the United States, Concepcion went back home to the Philippines and made her official acting debut in early 2008.
At the age of 23, K.C. Concepcion has made her own mark in the business and has maintained a good image, making her a role model for the Filipino youth.
