Kavi Ramachandran Ladnier is a multifaceted actor, writer, and producer with a remarkable 29-year career spanning theatre, film, and television. Born in India, she was raised in the United States since infancy, where she discovered her passion for acting at the tender age of five, inspired by the endearing performance of the little Indian girl in The Jungle Book.
As she grew older, Kavi became increasingly driven to produce, motivated by the scarcity of on-screen representation for individuals who looked like her. Her mission is to expand the narrative and celebrate the womanity of women in all their diversity.
Kavi's impressive credits include her role as an associate producer and actress in the award-winning feature East Bay, which premiered in May 2024 and is now available on demand. The film stars Constance Wu, known for her roles in Crazy Rich Asians and Fresh Off The Boat.
On television, Kavi is a principal recurring actor on CBS' top-rated franchise NCIS: Los Angeles, playing the role of Reserve Agent Shyla Dahr in Seasons 13 and 14. She has also recurred as Reena on the first season of HBO Max's Sex Lives of College Girls and will reprise her role in season three.
