Born on a United States Air Force base in the state of Illinois, Katy Perry's early life was marked by a nomadic existence, as her family frequently relocated due to her father's military career, allowing her to experience various parts of the country and develop a unique perspective on the world.
Eventually, Katy's family settled down in the picturesque city of Ottawa, situated in the heart of Canada, where she attended the esteemed Canterbury High School, a renowned institution for the arts. It was during her time at Canterbury HS that Katy first discovered her passion for the performing arts, and she went on to secure her first professional role in a theatrical production, playing the part of First Witch in the National Arts Centre's staging of William Shakespeare's classic tragedy, "Macbeth".
After completing her high school education, Katy further honed her acting skills at the prestigious National Theatre School of Canada, where she was able to refine her craft and gain valuable experience in the world of theatre.
