Katie Elizabeth Walder, the youngest of five siblings, consisting of two brothers and two sisters, began her acting journey at a tender age, showcasing her talents in musicals and plays within her school setting. As a young teenager, she also ventured into print work, featuring in prominent magazines such as Teen and YM. Her passion for the performing arts led her to pursue a degree in theatre, and upon graduating, she relocated to New York City, where she started working professionally in theatre under the guidance of renowned directors like Michael Greif, who was instrumental in the original production of "Rent", Keith Reddin, and Daniel Aukin. Katie's subsequent move to Los Angeles proved to be a catalyst for her career, as she swiftly secured a recurring role in the fourth season of the beloved television series "Gilmore Girls" (2000),playing the captivating character of Janet Billings, Rory's quirky, tough, and athletic college roommate. Since then, she has maintained a steady presence in the film and television industry, consistently delivering impressive performances.
