Katie Cassidy was born Katherine Evelyn Anita Cassidy on November 25, 1986, in Los Angeles, California, to a family with a rich musical heritage. Her father, David Cassidy, was a renowned pop star in the 1970s, and her uncles, Shaun Cassidy, Patrick Cassidy, and Ryan Cassidy, were also accomplished musicians. Katie's grandmother, Evelyn Ward, played a significant role in her life.

Growing up, Katie was a multi-talented individual who explored various interests and hobbies. She took gymnastics, studied piano, guitar, and singing, and even received dancing and acting lessons.
