Kathryn Greenwood, affectionately known as Kathy, embarked on her illustrious career by graduating from the Agincourt Collegiate Institute and subsequently enrolling at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, California, where she devoted two years to honing her acting skills.
Upon her return to Canada in 1988, Kathy's fresh face and talent quickly made her a staple in the country's comedy scene, with appearances in various theater productions, roles in films such as Switching Goals (1999),and guest spots on numerous television series.
In 1996, Kathy landed the coveted role of Aunt "Grace Bailey" on the popular Canadian drama series Wind at My Back (1996),a position she held for five successful seasons, earning her a nomination for a Gemini Award for Best Performance By an Actress in a Continuing Leading Role.
In 1999, Kathy ventured back to the United States, where she secured a spot as a regular recurring cast member on the American version of Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1998).
In 2000, when Kathy returned to her Canadian roots, she made history by becoming the first-ever winner of the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Improviser.
