Lauren Katherine Shanklin, affectionately known as Katie, was born in Silver Spring, Maryland in 1994. As the youngest sibling among four older brothers, Scott and Christopher, and one older sister, Shannon, Katie's childhood was filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Growing up, Katie was always drawn to the world of entertainment. She began singing and acting before she could even talk, and as she grew older, her passion only intensified. To this day, she spends hours singing and has even had the opportunity to showcase her talents in school plays and the annual school talent show.
In 2006, Katie's big break came when she landed a role in the movie Psych 9. This experience was truly unforgettable, as she traveled to Prague for three weeks to film alongside a talented cast and crew. Katie was fascinated by every aspect of the production process and was thrilled to be working alongside the director, Marielle, and her husband, Andrew.
After Psych 9, Katie continued to pursue her dreams of becoming an actress and model. She is currently working with a runway coach to perfect her walk for upcoming fashion shows, including the Fashion for Paws Runway Show and Sweet Charity's Chocolate Fashion Show.
In addition to her passion for acting and modeling, Katie is also a devoted animal lover and shares her home with two rescue dogs, Lilly and Honey, as well as a cat named Daisy. Despite her busy schedule, Katie remains committed to her education and is currently a junior at St. John's Catholic Prep in Frederick, Maryland. With her sparkling personality, boundless energy, and undeniable talent, Katie is sure to make a lasting impact in the entertainment industry.
