Katerina Stoykova is a distinguished author of multiple award-winning poetry books, penned in both English and Bulgarian. Notably, she serves as the Senior Editor at Accents Publishing, where she has meticulously curated, edited, and published nearly 100 poetry collections. Her latest literary endeavor, the book "Second Skin" (ICU, 2018, Bulgarian),garnered the esteemed Vanya Konstantinova biannual national poetry award, as well as a grant from the European Commission's program Creative Europe to facilitate translation and publication in English.
Beyond her literary pursuits, Katerina has also ventured into the world of filmmaking, taking on lead roles in the independent feature films Proud Citizen and Fort Maria, both directed by the acclaimed Thom Southerland. Her poetic works have been translated into a diverse range of languages, including German, Spanish, Ukrainian, Bangla, Farsi, and Arabic, with a volume of her selected poems receiving publication through the esteemed Dar Al Biruni press, courtesy of the renowned poet Khairi Hamdan.
Furthermore, Katerina's forthcoming poetry book, "Between a Bird Cage and a Bird House", is slated for release from the prestigious University Press of Kentucky, demonstrating her continued dedication to the world of poetry and literature.
