Catherine MacLellan, professionally known as Kate, is a talented Canadian actor born and raised in the vibrant city of Ottawa, Ontario. She has gained widespread recognition for her outstanding work on the critically acclaimed film "United States v Billie Holiday" which is currently streaming on Hulu.
Prior to discovering her passion for acting, Kate's childhood and teenage years were marked by a strong foundation in ballet and jazz. However, acting was not initially on her radar. As she grew older, Kate pursued a career as an Administrative Assistant and later as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. It wasn't until her daughter began receiving acting opportunities that Kate's own interest in the craft was sparked. She accompanied her daughter to numerous auditions, gradually learning the intricacies of the industry. Over time, Kate's fascination with acting grew, and she eventually began training as an actor herself.
Since then, Kate has been actively working in film and television, with notable on-screen credits including the popular Freeform series "The Bold Type" and the Lifetime movie "Ice Hotel Holiday". In addition to her on-screen work, Kate has also appeared in various commercials.
Kate continues to hone her craft by actively training at the esteemed Tasha Smith Actors Workshop.
