Kate Corbett was born and raised on the picturesque east coast of Canada in the charming town of Holyrood, Newfoundland, where she initially developed her passion for acting in small town repertoire summer theatre productions.
Following her high school graduation, Kate made the bold decision to relocate to Toronto, Ontario, to pursue her dream of becoming an actor by enrolling in Ryerson University's esteemed acting program.
Several years later, Kate further expanded her acting training at the prestigious Canadian Film Centre's Acting Conservatory, solidifying her skills and preparing her for a successful career in the entertainment industry.
Throughout her impressive feature film credits, Kate has appeared in four Toronto International Film Festival selections, including Black Conflux (2019),The Steps (2015),Empire of Dirt (2013),and The Animal Project (2013),as well as the lead role in the critically acclaimed Once There Was A Winter (2017).
In addition to her feature film work, Kate has also landed principal roles in several notable films, including The Righteous (2020),Goalie (2019),The Silence (2019),and An Audience of Chairs (2018).
Kate's extensive experience in television has seen her star in a variety of popular shows, including The Good Witch (Hallmark),Fargo (FX/MGM),Murdoch Mysteries (CBC),Lost Girl (Showcase),Signed Sealed Delivered (Hallmark),Odd Squad (PBS),Republic of Doyle (CBC),Satisfaction (CTV),Call Me Fitz (E1),The LA Complex (CTV),InSecurity (CBC),and Family Biz (YTV).
Moreover, Kate has also showcased her talents in several award-winning short films, including the critically acclaimed How Eunice Got Her Baby (2009) and The Tunnel (2013),which she also wrote, earning her the prestigious *Not Short on Talent recipient for the Cannes Film Festival.
