Kit is a renowned screenwriter and director, best known as one half of the acclaimed duo 'Kit & Arran'. Their upcoming feature film, King Baby, is set to premiere at the prestigious International Film Festival Rotterdam in January 2024, followed by their next feature, How Dare You, which is scheduled to go into production in the summer of 2024.
Prior to his work in film, Kit established himself as a talented playwright, with his play Passengers winning The Lustrum Award at Summerhall and being published by Oberon Books. His show Testosterone received widespread critical acclaim, earning The Pleasance Indie Award for Best Theatre Show and the Highly Commended Award at Vaults Festival. The British Council selected Testosterone for the Edinburgh Showcase, and it was shortlisted for several prestigious awards, including The Samuel Beckett Award, The Peter Brook Award, and The Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award.
Kit's work has also been recognized internationally, with The Word Was God being commissioned by Schauspielhaus Graz in Austria, where it premiered to critical acclaim. A German translation of the play was performed at the renowned Oldenburg State Theatre.
In addition to his work as a playwright and screenwriter, Kit is the Artistic Director of Vacuum Theatre, a cross-disciplinary troupe that creates innovative, ensemble-based theatre. He also works freelance, collaborating with other companies and practitioners around the world, showcasing and developing work in countries such as Greece, Denmark, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, Australia, Canada, and Brazil.
Kit has also been a featured speaker at several notable events, including Ted X, the Women of The World Festival in Rio De Janeiro, Queen Mary University, Transarte Festival, Rio, and the British Council, Venezuela.
