At the tender age of eight, Kashish auditioned alongside other children at SBT for Mike Cahill's film I Origins, where she landed the role of a wandering orphan child named Salomina.
As a student of Class 7 at the Birla Arya Secondary School, Kashish resides with 80 other girls at Udaan, the SBT shelter home situated in Delhi's Kamala Nagar locality.
Kashish's life at the shelter home has become a norm for her, and she has grown accustomed to the surroundings. In her own words, "I don't know how I came here, but I like living here. I don't know my mother's name. She comes to meet me sometimes."
Despite her uncertain past, Kashish's spirit remains unbroken. She has been trying to reach out to her mother to share the news about her award, but unfortunately, her mother's phone is switched off. In a heartfelt moment, Kashish expresses her desire to throw a small party for her friends with her mother's help.
