Karl's acting career spans over two decades, dating back to his graduation from the esteemed National Theatre School of Canada in 2002. As a multilingual actor, fluent in both English and French, he has had a successful stint on Radio Canada's hit sitcom "Discussions avec mes parents," completing seven seasons.
Throughout his career, Karl has worked on various film and television projects, including principal roles in "Pet Sematary 1969," "Transplant," "Murdoch Mysteries," "Blood & Treasure," "Indéfendable," and "Faits Divers 2." He has also had the opportunity to share the screen with renowned actors such as Ben Stiller, Felicity Jones, and Colm Feore.
One of Karl's most memorable experiences was working on the Canadian-made hockey films "Goon" and "Goon: The Last of the Enforcers" alongside Jay Baruchel, Seann William Scott, Liev Schreiber, Marc-André Grondin, and George Tchortov.
In addition to his film and television work, Karl has also had a successful career in theatre, working with prominent Montreal companies such as the Centaur Theatre, the Segal Center, Black Theatre Workshop, Infinitheatre, Repercussion Theatre, Geordie Theatre, and Theatre Lac Brome. He has also toured to Ottawa's National Arts Center and Toronto's Factory Theatre with Black Theatre Workshop's production of "Angélique" and has performed onstage in Los Angeles, Washington, and Chicago with Starvox's production of "Sherlock Holmes."
When not performing, Karl shares his passion for acting by running his own self-taping and coaching studio, where he has become one of Montreal's most sought-after acting and audition coaches. He currently mentors a handful of the city's most talented up-and-coming young actors.
In his personal life, Karl resides in Montreal with his wife and son. He is also a sports enthusiast and an avid reader of fiction, fantasy, science fiction, comic books, and graphic novels.
