Kari Skogland, a renowned and accomplished CEO of Mad Rabbit Productions, is dedicated to crafting exceptional dramas and features as a producer, director, and writer. Currently, she is working on an Apple series, following her recent role as Pilot Director and Executive Producer on Apple's FIREBUG series, starring the talented Taron Egerton.
Skogland's impressive credits include serving as Executive Producer and Director for all six episodes of Marvel's THE FALCON AND WINTER SOLDIER, starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan. She also worked as the pilot, multiple episode director, and Executive Producer on Showtime's THE LOUDEST VOICE, starring Russell Crowe, earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Mini-Series and a win for Crowe.
Skogland's outstanding direction earned her a BAFTA and Emmy nomination for Outstanding Direction on THE HANDMAID'S TALE. Her notable work also includes directing the pilot episodes of AMC's NOS4A2 with Zachary Quinto, as well as the pilot block of Starz's hit THE ROOK.
In addition to her television work, Skogland has also made a significant impact in the feature film world. She will direct CLEOPATRA, starring Gal Gadot, and recently completed directing WIND RIVER: RISING. Her feature film, FIFTY DEAD MEN WALKING, featuring Ben Kingsley, premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, and received a nomination for Best Film. It also won a Leo Award for Best Feature and a DGC Award for Best Director.
Skogland's THE STONE ANGEL, which she also wrote, was nominated for Best Director and Best Film by the DGC, and received nominations for Best Screenplay at the WGC and was honored by several festivals, including the Tokyo International Film Festival and the Shanghai International Film Festival.
