Karen, a talented individual, was born in the vibrant city of Detroit, Michigan. Her life took a significant turn at the tender age of four, when her mother sadly passed away. Her father, faced with the daunting task of raising a young family, remarried, resulting in Karen gaining four new siblings. After completing her education at the University of Iowa, where she majored in Theatre, Karen made the bold decision to relocate to the bustling city of Chicago. Her dedication to her craft has led her to appear in numerous productions at various esteemed theaters, including Writers' Theatre, The Goodman Theatre, Northlight, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and many others.
Karen's personal life is filled with joy and love. She is happily married to Matthew Janes and is a proud mother to their young son, Benjamin. Together, they reside in the charming city of Evanston, Illinois, surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of the Midwest.
