Kara has been dedicated to her work with Act-up Theater in Acadiana for the past eight years, a tenure marked by her evolution from a student of the Summer Youth Shakespeare Ensemble to a company member and teacher.
As a valued member of the team, Kara assists with private theatre classes, utilizing her expertise to guide and mentor students. Additionally, she serves as an acting coach, helping others to hone their craft and achieve their full potential.
Kara's impressive credentials also include being selected for an international delegation at the Festival TransAmériques in Montréal, a prestigious honor that reflects her outstanding talent and dedication to her craft.
Furthermore, Kara was a recipient of the Hill-Bonin PASA scholarship, which enabled her to study with the renowned SITI company in Chicago. This valuable experience undoubtedly helped her to further develop her skills and expand her artistic horizons.
Throughout her career, Kara has been involved in a wide range of notable productions, including A Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It, Macbeth, Sustained Winds, Play Music Heal, and Unbearably Lo[ ]ely.
Most recently, Kara showcased her versatility by dancing in an original dance piece entitled I've Stopped Having That Dream I've Been Having, and starring in an on-location play, Bataille.
