Kamar de los Reyes was born in Puerto Rico to a Cuban father and raised in the backstage wings of Las Vegas hotels. He began his career as a dancer at the age of 8, performing with Lola Falana on stage. As a child, Kamar was exposed to the arts and music through his father, a Cuban drummer and percussionist.
