Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is a prominent Indian actor and producer, predominantly working in Telugu films. As the owner of Advitha Creative Studios, a VFX company, he has provided special effects in numerous movies, including Legend, Nannaku Prematho, and Krishnashtami.
Born to the late politician and actor Nandamuri Harikrishna, Ram is also the grandson of politician and producer N.T. Rama Rao. His half-brother is the renowned actor N.T. Rama Rao Jr.
Ram received his education at St. Paul's in Hyderabad, KCP Siddhartha Adarsh Residential School in Vijayawada, and later earned his engineering degree from Coimbatore and his master's from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
He made his acting debut in 1989 with the film Bala Gopaludu, alongside his uncle Nandamuri Balakrishna.
After setting up his production company, he produced Athanokkade, the directorial debut film of Surender Reddy.
Ram has also acted in a series of films, including Abhimanyu, Asadhyudu, Vijaya Dasami, Lakshmi Kalyanam, Hare Ram, Jayeebhava, and Kalyan Ram Kathi.
In 2013, he produced and starred in Om 3D, and in 2015, he produced the film Kick 2, starring Ravi Teja. Ram also acted in Sher alongside Sonal Chauhan.
In 2016, he produced and starred in Ism as the undercover journalist Satya Marthand. The following year, he appeared in the first season of the reality show Bigg Boss Telugu.
In 2019, he played his father on the silver screen in the films NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR: Mahanayakudu. In 2020, he acted in Entha Manchivaadavuraa, an official remake of the Gujarati film Oxygen.
Ram also produced and acted as the main character in the Telugu fantasy action film Bimbisara in 2022.
