Junji Kojima, a renowned Japanese director, was born in Japan in June 1966. He embarked on his artistic journey by majoring in fine arts at university, laying the foundation for his future creative endeavors.
After gaining experience as a digital editor since 1989, Kojima transitioned into directing, and his impressive body of work soon spanned multiple fields. His remarkable creations include TV commercials for prominent brands such as Shiseido, Honda, UNIQLO, and ANA.
Kojima's work has garnered international recognition, with his films being showcased at prestigious overseas film festivals like RESFEST (USA) and onedotzero (UK). In 2003, he received the "AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD" at RESFEST.
One of his notable works, "Apologies," was exhibited in the short film section of the 57th Berlin International Film Festival, marking the first time in 31 years that Japanese films had been featured in this section.
In recent years, Kojima's film "HOT ASHES" premiered at the 34th Warsaw International Film Festival in the Competition section, further solidifying his reputation as a talented and innovative director.
