Julia Dordel, a multifaceted individual, boasts an impressive array of skills and accomplishments. As an actress, writer, producer, and forest scientist, she holds a PhD from the University of British Columbia. Furthermore, she is fluent in German, English, and Spanish, showcasing her linguistic versatility.
Born and raised in Germany, Julia's passion for film, science, and nature was evident from an early age. During her school years, she took on leading roles in school theatre plays and musicals, while also producing her own documentary films for science classes. Her parents, recognizing her diverse interests, encouraged her to pursue a career in business or science.
Julia's academic pursuits led her to complete an apprenticeship in a bank, study economics for a couple of terms, and earn an undergraduate degree, two Master's degrees, and a PhD in Forest Sciences. Simultaneously, she modeled, worked at a radio station, and honed her skills in theatre and film acting.
Despite her many accomplishments, Julia was driven by a sense of frustration and motivation. She felt that the innovative green science discoveries, with the potential to positively impact the world, were not receiving adequate public attention. This realization, combined with her passion for film, inspired her to co-found the film production company Libelle Productions with fellow actress Anita Reimer.
In 2013, Julia expanded her entrepreneurial endeavors by founding the film production company Dorcon Film in Hannover, Germany. This remarkable individual's journey serves as a testament to her unwavering dedication to her passions and her ability to excel in multiple fields.
