Judy Benson's life began in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the year 1951, with her formative years spent in rural Yell County, Arkansas. Her academic pursuits took her to various esteemed institutions, including Arkansas Tech, Berkeley, California State Hayward, and San Francisco State, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Corrections.
Throughout her college years, Judy was actively involved in scholastic and community theatre, honing her skills as a mental health counselor and simultaneously gaining experience in law enforcement and corrections. Her professional journey took an unexpected turn when she visited a production unit in Little Rock, Arkansas, and noticed a potentially hazardous situation involving live and "dummy" ammunition.
In the process of bringing this issue to the attention of the production team, Judy landed a job providing onsite security, offering firearms and pyrotechnic consultation, and was subsequently cast in a speaking role in the film "End of the Line" (1988),starring Mary Steenburgen. This marked the beginning of Judy's career in the entertainment industry, which has since seen her appear as a State Trooper in the film "Stone Cold" (1991/I),where she also showcased her skills as a stunt driver.
Judy's impressive resume also includes a stint as a driver in Billy Bob Thornton's "Daddy and Them" (1998) and a role in the independent production "A Killing in the Market." Her extensive experience in various fields has undoubtedly prepared her for the demands of her work in the entertainment industry.
