Biography

Juan Pablo's early life was marked by his upbringing in Spain by his Argentinian father, while his Colombian heritage played a significant role in shaping his future. As he delved deeper into his roots, he made the decision to return to Latin America, where he pursued his passion for acting by studying under the guidance of Edgardo Roman in Bogota and later at the renowned Lee Strasberg Institute in New York.

His early career was marked by his lead role in the TV series "La Reina De Queens" and his appearance in the theatrical play "The Chronicle Of A Death Foretold". He then made the move to Venezuela, where he starred in several telenovelas, including "Mi Gorga Bella", which gained widespread recognition in over a hundred countries. His subsequent roles in Venezuelan films such as "Una Abuela Virgen", "Dia Naranja", and "Puras Joyitas" further solidified his position as a talented actor.

Returning to his native Colombia, Juan Pablo began participating in various television series, including "Tiempo Final", "Sin Retorno", "El Cartel de los Sapos", "La Reina del Sur", and the highly successful "Los Caballeros Las Prefieren Brutas". This led to his involvement in Colombian cinema, where he appeared in films such as "En Coma" and "The Snitch Cartel".

Juan Pablo's entrepreneurial spirit led him to join forces with Venezuelan star Edgar Ramirez and director Henry Rivero to create Drive Pictures. The company recently premiered "Secreto de Confesion" and is set to begin production on their second feature, "Cruzao".

When he's not working, Juan Pablo can be found indulging in his love for cycling. He resides in Miami with his wife, journalist and TV host Monica Fonseca, and their son Joaquin. The family is actively involved in various campaigns and is dedicated to human and animal rights organizations, making a positive impact on their community.
