Here is the biography of Juan Rios Gaspard:
Juan Rios Gaspard was born on August 25, 1965, to Clarice "Louise" (Staton) Dupuy, an LPN who cared for the elderly and misfortunate, and Loveless P. Dupuy, a man of his own character. He was raised in a small country suburb, Poydras, Louisiana, and attended St. Bernard High School. In his junior year, his mother signed papers for him to join the Marines, and he went on to serve from 1983 to 1986, during which time he was deployed to Okinawa, Japan, and South Korea.
After his military service, Gaspard worked as an Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency 9-1-1 Dispatcher, and carpenter. He became a pipe fitter and excelled in his class, earning the nickname "The Lion" due to his bold and fearless nature.
Tragedy struck Gaspard's life when his mother passed away in 2005, followed by his stepfather and mother-in-law in quick succession. He was involved in a car accident in 2006 that claimed the life of his wife, Vernetia Whitfield Gaspard, and left him with a traumatic brain injury.
Gaspard's life took a new turn when he designed a fix for the BP Macondo well blowout in 2010. He contacted Professor Robert Bea, who was impressed by Gaspard's design and eventually used it to control the well.
In 2011, Gaspard met Pierce Brosnan, who encouraged him to pursue acting. He began taking acting classes and landed his first extra gig in the movie "Stolen" starring Nick Cage. He went on to appear in 11 different projects, including a featured shot in "Bonnie & Clyde" (2013).
Gaspard joined Mensa in 2016 and placed off the charts, scoring a Raw 96 and a Wonderlic in the 99 percentile range. He continued to pursue his acting career, taking classes and preparing for speaking roles.
In 2018, Gaspard shaved his beard and began pursuing "neater" roles. He planned a California venture and eventually became SAG eligible in 2020. He took script analysis and preparation for film classes, performed in front of a live audience, and studied with Veleka Gray of Louisiana.
Gaspard became a member of SAG-AFTRA in January 2022 and continues to pursue his acting career, crediting his success to his fans and supporters. He remains committed to his craft, believing that acting is about bringing characters to life and making the audience forget that it's a movie.
Throughout his life, Gaspard has been guided by his faith and a strong sense of purpose. He believes that success is not about him, but about those around him, and that it's never too late to try something new.
