JT O'Neal earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in screenwriting from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he impressively won three prestigious awards with different scripts: the UCLA Screenwriting Showcase, the Alfred P. Sloan award, and the Carl David award.
As a multi-talented individual, O'Neal also holds a Harvard-trained background in medicine, having completed a master's degree in public health and residency training in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Notably, he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and Senior Flight Surgeon from the Kansas Air National Guard, and has provided consulting services to the United States Air Force, Army, Navy, and the Veterans Affairs department.
O'Neal's academic achievements extend beyond his medical and screenwriting credentials. He graduated from the University of Kansas with honors in the history of art, and his photographs are included in prominent museum collections, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Library of Congress, and the Princeton Art Museum.
In addition to his creative and professional accomplishments, O'Neal's first feature film, AU PAIR, KANSAS (retitled THE SOCCER NANNY),premiered at the Kansas City FilmFest, where it received the Best Heartland Feature Film award.
