Joy Brunson is the visionary founder and chief executive officer of The Joy of Acting Studio, a thriving institution based in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California. Prior to establishing her studio, Joy earned a distinguished degree in Women's Studies from the prestigious Spelman College, where she honed her focus on the performative nature of the Black female body, laying the groundwork for her future endeavors.
Inspired by her passion for golf and her commitment to mentorship, Joy founded the non-profit organization Tee 2 Tea in 2011, with a mission to empower young girls aged 8-18 by fostering confidence and creating opportunities for mentorship through the game of golf. This innovative initiative has enabled countless young women to develop essential life skills, build lasting relationships, and cultivate a sense of self-assurance that will serve them well throughout their lives.
